The early church was active in studying the Word, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and the prayers. All of these things are vital for our lives and yet they all require time. In Luke 12, Jesus admonishes us not to waste our lives chasing after the things that this world has to offer, but invest our lives in the kingdom of God. When we live our lives in this way, God will bring divine appointments our way that will impact countless lives for eternity. That is exactly what happened to Peter and John in Acts chapter 3 while they were on their way to the temple to pray.
