As the Lord led Paul into new Gentile territory, there were always fresh conflicts which tempted to make the apostle fearful. But the Lord gave Paul full assurance of his divine presence with the words, “I am with you,” strongly reminiscent of God’s promise to Moses as he also took the Word of God before the Gentiles. The Lord’s presence in Paul’s ministry took the form of several wonderful provisions.
