In the book of Job we find a righteous man who undergoes great suffering and loses almost everything. Job doesn't know what is happening, but the first chapter lets us in on a scene in heaven in which Satan accuses Job and seeks permission to destroy him. Peter reveals to us the same enemy at work seeking to devour us. Against that enemy, however, stands the God of all grace enabling us to stand firm.
