As Paul continues to defend his ministry to the Thessalonians, he gives us a unique picture of the appropriate way to give and to receive the Word of God. In a day and age when relative truth has replaced the absolute truth of the Word of God, it is critically important we share the gospel of God with people. Paul is going to beautifully illustrate in this passage that it is not only important what we tell people, but how we do it.

1 Thessalonians was written to a group of young Christians with whom Paul had only had a limited time for discipleship. Though the church was doing well in many respects, there were issues that needed to be dealt with and serious questions that had arisen.
