Ideas tend to change the further they drift from their original source—like the ripples in a pond that grow fainter the farther they travel from where the stone was thrown. So when it comes to eternal truth we must continually revisit the source, lest our recollection of the truth fade or warp over time. For this reason, it is essential that we revisit the gospel of Christ.
