As we have looked at the Genesis’ life of Joseph, we saw the sovereignty of God in the midst of hatred, lust, and deceit in chapters 37-39. In 40-45:8, we saw the sovereignty of God in the midst of good and evil. This sermon looks at the story as a whole and these chapters’ emphasis on the sovereignty of God in the salvation of his people, ultimately focused on Jesus Christ himself. Like Joseph, we must have unrelenting faith that in all human history God has good purposes to bring about the salvation of his people.
