Church History in the West: A Brief Overview

To introduce our series, we begin by taking a brief look at the timeline of church history, so that the following sessions can be put into historical perspective. The council of Constantinople (381) expressed a belief in “one holy catholic and apostolic Church.” As church history demonstrates, however, the further we become from the inception of the church in Acts 2, the more the visible unity of the church is compromised.
