Sunday Morning Service,  February 3, 2008

In the first stanza of this first-century hymn (1:15-20), Christ is supreme over the creation because all has been created in Him, through Him, and for Him. Essentially, the same reasons are offered in verses 19-20 to explain why Jesus Christ is also supreme over the redemption or the reconciliation, leading us to exalt Him as Lord over all.
