The process of becoming like Christ is a matter of holiness. But when we acquiesce to the sin or values in the world, we find ourselves in a position where we look and act more like the cosmos than like Christ. When this happens to a child of God, it is by degrees. As the life of Lot illustrates in four decisive steps, compromise toward the world can lead to a terrible spiritual end.
