Sunday Morning Service,  July 22, 2007

After the apostle Paul evangelized the Roman province of Galatia, heretical teachers infiltrated the Galatian churches, teaching a gospel based upon Jewish works and causing many to fall away from the doctrines of grace and faith in Christ alone. In calling the Galatians back to the true gospel, Paul uses the metaphor of an athletic event, through which we may discern three principles encouraging us to stay in the Christian race.
