In these texts, God discloses the truth that He is a jealous God. In other words, He has great zeal for the exclusive relationship He shares with His people. Far from human jealousy, which can be sourced in pettiness, fear, or envy, God's jealousy is motivated by His genuine love and is expressed at least three ways.
