God gave Moses plans for building the Tabernacle so that there would be an appropriate place where He could dwell among His people. God's expressed intention to actually live with His people was a new and wonderful declaration that goes to the heart of what God is doing in salvation history. We can appreciate the magnitude of God's desire to dwell among us when we see that God's desire to dwell among His people is retrospective, introspective, and prospective.
