It is not enough to simply understand the times in which we live. Our understanding of the times and the imminent return of Jesus, should impact our thinking and behavior.

When Paul states that we know the time, what time is he talking about? Knowing that time, what difference should it make in our daily lives? Why is it important that we understand the time and react to it?

In Paul's last mention of the law in the book of Romans, he will discuss the key to fulfilling the law. Though he has clearly taught that no one will be justified by the law, he has also said that the law is holy, righteous, and good. Although he is not saved by the works of the law, the Christian can fulfill it if he operates out of true love.

What is the Christian's responsibility to government and those who are in authority? How are we to respond to them and why are we to respond in this way?

Not only are we to not take vengeance on our enemies, but we are to bless them and do good to them. That is not a natural reaction. How do we do that as Christians? We must remember that we are disciples of the one who died for his enemies!
