Jesus and his disciples move into Gentile territory in seek of rest. However, God has arranged several divine appointments for them instead. They will experience a woman with great faith, an amazing healing, and a needy crowd miraculously satisfied. All of this as a demonstration that the gospel message is for the Jew first but also for the Gentiles.

More Than Enough

Faithfulness to God does not always equate to favor with men. Jesus stated that no greater prophet had arisen than John the Baptist. Yet, John's ministry would last only about a year and he would die a violent death at 30 years of age. Why would God allow King Herod to behead John the Baptist?
