The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a historical fact and a present-day reality. Our salvation rests on the truth that Jesus Christ rose from the grave and is now seated at the Father’s right hand as our personal advocate. The burden of proof is not on believers to give evidence that it happened, but on unbelievers who stand to face eternal damnation unless they experience salvation through the risen Christ. The resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth following his crucifixion has never been disproved, and cannot be disproved based on eye-witness accounts and contemporary records.
